This is my 1950 Dodge Wayfarer Business Man Coupe that my dad and I are working on. Currently it is in the shop getting preped for paint. Been in the shop for some good time.

Spent a lot of time searching for parts, a lot of time on ebay and junk yards ha.

All the chrome is redone and looks amazing. All dents removed, Got just about every part for it, including a visor and side cooler. Cant wait till its all put together.

It will be candy apple green. :)

  5. Here's my 50. Anytime one of you Wayfarer guys decides to step up to a t-5 or a 318/904, I'm interested in your fluid drive 3 speed. Gotta be the short tail Wayfarer trans though!

If you have a measurement I'll check what is in my 'pile'..or you could swap to a 5-spd (I use Dakota parts)...let me know either way.

I would love to know more about this car. What kind of suspension, engine, about the chop, etc. What did you handle the curved windshield.... Got more pictures?

    Thanks

Wow - this car looks identical to my first car. It was a 1953 Coronet with a 241 Red Ram Hemi and the famous Gyromatic tranny. It was given to me by my dad - his 2nd favorite car (after his 1960 Pontiac Parisienne 2 dr hardtop). Bunch of Shi*$ead kids broke all of the glass and lenses and I sold it to my cousin who stripped out the hemi. Man I wish I kept it!

how much of a issue is it to install a later say, 318 motor in a 53-54 Plymouth?
Do these cars have the 4 1/2 bolt pattern wheels?
    Thinking about getting one.

Holy sh*t, that thing is awesome! Every week I see something on the HAMB that makes me smack my forehead and say "why didn't I think of that?"
Do us all a favor: get it running and bring it to the HAMB drags!

    Heys Guys,

A simple qestion for you - I need to know the size (9/16, 3/4 , etc) of the headbolts on a '53 Plymouth. I'm new at this, so could you reply to [email protected] with the answer? Thanks a million!

Here are a couple of picture of a 51 Belvedere I've had since the late 70's. I plan on starting on it again soon. Next step chop the top (Thanks for the pics of your chop Glendale should prove very valuable).
