Thanks. I actually referenced your website quite a bit during the rebuild.

New to the HAMB and I just picked up a 51 Ply...cranbrook, rust bucket looking to raise it from the grave! lots of work to do or rather lots of things I would like to do. 1st car all on my own. Anyone know if there is a dual master cylinder replacement for these things?

I got this just before Xmas. Slightly narrowed and channeled. The front was a 53 sedan and the rear was a 49 coupe. I`m trying to get inspired as to what Mopar engine to use for it, as theres little room left in the engine bay.

I have a 50' business coupe, a 2-door, the floors are rusted out and the motor and trans are gone, they tried to put a different straight six in the thing and did some hacking on the front end of the thing, most of the car is still there and the sheet metal is all in pretty good shape... I'd love to chop the thing but I doubt I will get to it, as rusty as the floors are it might be easy to channel...ha ha... anyway, there it is

Here's a pic of my stock as a rock Kingsway, the car I bought when I was 17 and still drive daily 22 years later. 250 with a powerflyte. It has a nice lowering job by mother nature (about 2 inches of spring sag at the front and about the same on the left rear. The right rear seems to be going for about an inch more attitude.)

Why not use a flat head six? With the lighter weight car this engine should give plenty of pep and fun and nothing sounds like it with straight pipes!!!

Thanks much, not like your very cool 2 door, but it's a good cruiser.

I've owned this beauty for a couple of years. Flat 6, Automagic. Runs and drives good. Made into a truck to haul cutting torches and motors around in a junkyard.

It can even be yours for $400

I bought it off one of my friends, who'd got it in Ohio. Some old guy built it out of a rearended wreck to use as a tractor in his junkyard. Its got a 4-inch long driveshaft and hardtail rear suspension. Runs like a sewing machine.

I'd like to sell it for what I've got in it, and let someone else play with it. If I don't, I'm debating on doing kind've a Millitary themed Ute out of it.

  27. So I sold my flathead 6 that was going into my 53 Plymouth 2dr HT and got me a 1955 Plymouth Hy-fire 260ci complete engine. I found a powerflite trans of the same year too. So Ill be cruising in style.

  28. That little beast reminds me of an aircraft or APU tug one would use on the flightline. Ugly enough to be cool as hell!

Its been a while since I started the thing, but I plan on putting some half-way decent tires on it, fabbing a new bed, and putting a '56 IH bench in this spring unless it finds a new owner.

Ive got a 1950 Dodge Pickup I just recently purchased. I'm selling my ole' bel air and using the money to fix up the Dodge. The pic is photo shopped but hopefully one day i'll get it that low. It used to be a department of agriculture truck and you can still see the badge on the doors of the truck, it even came with the old water jug holder and cup dispenser!
