Let me just start off by saying.... I know I need to Upgrade to Bendix style. :p
As I know most of you are very familiar with these brakes and let me say...A Royal pain in the A$$ they are. Parts are crazy expensive. I am on the verge of just upgrading to disc but, I hate to spend the money. My wife can't drive a stick, so I do not have to worry about her driving the car. I would on the other hand like for it to be driver friendly. Maybe mey my nephews drive it from time to time (me with them, of coarse)! Just wanted to vent!

I found a brake set up for my 49.....They are on a 54 and the guy is gonna put disc on it and I could just have the set up on it for free!.!.
My 49 is a Chevy Styleline Deluxe. Original drive train still in the car. Rides and drives great. Just those damn Huck brakes...LOL Now I can get those off and the car will be driver friendly.
    Thanks for all the input.

Picked up an entire front suspension off a '51 Chevy this past weekend for $50. It's all been rebuilt! The deals are out there. Don't have to go disc route.. these work just fine!
