1949 Studebaker ½ ton pickup truck This truck is all ’49 sheet metal over a 1999 Dodge Dakota R/T pickup truck that had 91,000 miles on it when I started this conversion last year. It retains the ’99 floor and firewall, along with all Dakota mechanicals. It runs drives and stops like a modern vehicle, but has the look of a ’49 truck. Here is a list of features: 5.9 liter V8 Still utilizes the stock computer and OBD interface so it can be scanned or tuned via handheld device 5 speed manual transmission conversion using all stock Dakota parts, except for a Hurst shifter Fuel Injection Shorty headers Dual Flowmaster exhaust ABS Power Steering Power Brakes It has been lowered even more than the stock R/T setup with springs and blocks, rides great. All new interior, with a custom seat Brand new wide whitewall tires All new glass, however, the back glass now has a crack New window gaskets, window felts, door gaskets New heater 1949 Plymouth bumpers Shaved Door handles and windshield wipers New bear claw door latches Custom Aluminum 1950’s speedboat steering wheel New rear shocks New radiator Voltmeter, oil pressure, fuel and water temp gauges GPS Speedometer This truck is an absolute blast to drive! It has the look everyone is after with the reliability and power of the R/T Dakota. I have spent the last year and half building this truck. I can’t see doing anything else with it, other than paint, and I don’t think that’s the right direction to take with this one. So, I’m ready to move on. I don’t have to sell. Trade offers are welcome, but this is a secondary, fun vehicle for me, so respond accordingly Tim 317-410-3988
