Hi there, I'm Sebastian, I introduce myself a few weeks ago when I got the coronet, I since have clean it and started sanding the floors so that I don't get all dirty every time i work on the car, here are some pics of it so far, I'll be patching a few holes (only 2), and then I will use bed liner paint to seal it well and won't have to worry about scratching it.

So I painted the floors, I'll fix the holes later, I just hated the rust and dirt. So im on the process of pulling the engine out of the coronet now, the wiring needs to be all done over, looked like it was ready to catch on fire, I was just gonna make enough room to take the engine out, and the I saw Glendale's build, and it got me all motivated for a really clean engine bay, and because I don't have the money for the new engine yet, I decided to make my engine bay nice, here are a couple pics of the process, I still have to take the fenders off, but I'll get to that tonight after work or on my next day off. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1373551052.830540.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1373551071.379634.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1373551092.801140.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1373551107.178986.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1373551128.078380.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1373551142.617233.jpg
Now next time you'll see the engine removed with a "cleaner" looking engine bay.

Now I cleaned it up a bit
    ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1375318740.065324.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1375318752.457011.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1375318771.151212.jpg

I got my hands into a rebuild super T10, it was an ok deal but I needed a different bell housing, bostoncamaro hook me up with a correct bell housing,
I been busy working, and I need to pull the engine, I'm missing the the chain for the hoist, hopefully I'll get it out next week.

  14. I had this Sun Greenline tach, really clean shape...this will be going into Sebastian's Dodge

    Price was right, free

  15. The car will fall somewhere in between the look of this

    ..and this

  16. I know these aren't Cal Customs, they were low grade and they were offered at department stores etc, but I had them and they were in real tough shape, so did a quickie on them, blasting, grinding etc and painted them up for Sebastian. These were real pitted, corroded etc.

He is going to strip engine compartment next, frame will go semi black and firewall will be done in a cream.

These look pretty good and again, free for Sebastian..so he will use these for now and can always upgrade later.

Nice work so far. My very first car in 1956 was a 1949 Dodge Coronet coupe. The style I had had a back seat. Wasn't fast but loved that body style. Keep at it.
Try some WD-40 and fine steel wool on that bumper.

  24. Tough being a Virgo isn't it......get in those frame rails! Looking good!

  25. He scored a freshly built 406, was built at a shop we know, but has sat around awhile so we took apart the bottom end for cleaning, inspection then reassembly. has 10 to 1 pistons (with 64 cc heads). Going to take cam out next see what that is...

Here is Sebastian, pretty excited, goofing over the 406

  30. Some stuff I got with a parts buy, they will be cashing out and going to Sebastian's Coronet for a song.

Clean single carb tunnel ram, which had its base modified to prevent fuel puddling which is common with these.

Basically new 3310 750, perfect to get the car running and tuned then possibly swap on a double pumper later. Taller body distributor, good fit for tunnel ram.

I also had a vintage (from 70s) drive shaft loop and pretty nicely made, heavy duty battery tray. A pair of SW gauges Oil and Amp from the 60's and a bunch of other stuff.
