Projects 1949 Divco progress, it's been 8 yrs since I touched it..

NOT a Hot Rod? That IS a Hot Rod in my book. It's interesting, one of my Sedan Deliveries was owned by a cabinet maker, and looked pretty much the same with the "wooden box" in the cargo area; it was all hardwood, and heavy. I removed all that, and to this day I still find pieces of that wood I had squirreled away and forgotten about. Again, that IS a Hot Rod! Butch/56sedandelivery.

I didnt know I liked a divco till I saw yours,heck to be honest Im not sure I even new what a divco was until I saw this cool little ride.

I fell in love with divco's the first time I saw one. That was when I was around 10. Can't wait to see more of this one

 

It is good to see the Divco back on the front burner...so many demons in his head...it is funny on how time flies....

 

Why did you redo the mounts going from the 409 to the new bigblock? Glad to see you are having fun.

Nice work! I would like to work on mine again but this cancer thing has slowed me down a little. Think I might have sell one of mine but keep the other two for now. I grew up 2 blocks from a milk plant and loved them since I was a kid.

'59 model 134, '59 model 300D and a '65 model 347

 

Tman, I had the 409 mounted a little higher for oil pan clearance and less notch needed in the pan...This time around I picked up a Big Block chevy pan made for the 55-57 Chevy frame. Which lowered the engine position a good 2'' +...should improve handling and heat inside.....only took two half hearted evenings to redo everything.....Littleman

 

I figured you had reasons like that since the engines have the same mounting points, lower will definately be better with that windsail!

 

When Littleman puts his name on it ya know its gonna be killer...love the Divcos...would love to build one for my biz
