Projects 1949 chevy gasser build!

I cant make my mind up on a power plant for my 49.I Dont want a sbc. i have a 235 6 cyl with a 371 blower. or a vintage turbo set up. or a fresh 1966 389 pontiac. and 4 speed. Im using a model a axel with a spring over set up. I have a 55 chevy rearend with ladder bars.I working on the rust issues and will be ready for engine soon. IDEAS?

For me engine choice in order would be 302 GMC, 270 GMC, 261 and 235 Chevy 6s.
The 302 in this thread my be up for grabs soon.
