I believe this color is going to look outstanding on this car with all the curves it has. The pearl pops in the direct sun and fades to really dark blue. It will have lots of highlights.

Sneak peek! My upholster, Rick Kennedy, did a great job with the seats. My buddy Richard Beggs helped me pick the colors and I'm loving them!

Your seats look really rich, should look beautiful in the car.

I got most of the parts home. We will finish painting parts next week. Used a 20' U Haul box van to transport the parts. Wired fenders to the rails on the sides. Worked great!

Vinyl. It would take a whole herd of cows to supply hides for this thing! :D:D

Got all the big parts home. 20' U Haul box van worked out great. All the exterior parts are color sanded and will be buffed in a few weeks. We still have a few more parts to paint. All those parts use a lot of paint that just goes into the filters of the paint booth. Looks like we will use the better part of 3 gallons of base and 3 gallons of clear. I'm not likely to ever do a car this big again .....but you never say never.

Well, it's not easy to make a Big Block Buick look traditional but I'm liking this. We got the engine long block assembled a couple of weeks ago and I've been adding exterior pieces. The intake and carb are just temporary installs so I could see how it was going to look. What do you think?

I know in prejudiced but I think the dashboard of a 49 Buick is one of the prettiest ever. I'm loving this one!

And I agree the 49 Dash is by far my favorite.
The Art Deco design is perfect. It also makes it difficult to find parts due to it being a 1 year model.

    Yours is looking amazing !

I have most of the wiring done but pictures of that aren't very exciting. I have also gotten the Boom Mat installed. What a job! I bought 60 sheets of 2 mil 12x24 and I have one sheet and some scraps left over. This sucker better be quiet. 0909211548_HDR.jpg 0909211547d_HDR.jpg 0909211547c_HDR.jpg 0909211547b_HDR.jpg 0909211547a_HDR.jpg 0909211547_HDR.jpg 0909211546.jpg
