  5. I bought my air cleaner years ago from Flathead Jack, he’s retired now, but I don’t know where he sourced them from. He was in Walnut Creek, California at that time.

Keith built another one and it turned out very kool.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. 1984 was a big year for Mercury. It was the year for the second Merc Deuce Reunion (My first) and Diamond Dave driving his around. After all of that exposure, I had to get me a Mercury.

Plus David Lee Roth's original car was a 4-door built by "Mercury John" in Riverside..

The original. A fordor, as previously stated.
The dope is... DLR bet on a cross-country drive. Shipped the car, flew the distance, and arrived in sweat and grime "patina", to collect on the bet. Call him "Mr. SHOW Biz". ;)

This straight post chop has really nice clean lines, I'd love to see where all of the cuts were made on this one.

  15. That picture made my day Mick! Thanks so much for posting! Joe "The Fonz" Carloni was one of my personal heroes even though I never got to meet him. Like his cars or not, he was The King of backyard builds! E

I'm attracted to the Hump and usually don't like it removed. I thought this one was done right...

I went to the Starbird show in Tulsa around the late 70's this is when I saw the Green Flame Merc. It was a kool kustom introduction to chopped Mercurys. Shortly after that my passion for Mercs was confirmed when I saw Jack Walker's Hirohata clone. I thought that they were just kool museum pieces until I got to see one cruise down the street. Gary Mundy built The Godfather Mercury and it just blew my mind. It was kool to see this picture posted on one of the KKOA Spectacular threads. Thanks for posting the picture... Wish I had video......

I got one from Doug Reed and a couple of others. Seeing a kustom moving is just too kool.
