Thanks for the good words Paul...slight correction, my 51 rides on a C 10 rear truck arm suspension with a long track bar and a 1st gen front sub. I do C10 stuff. Mostly 67-72. Cool hanging out with you. The drive was great and the show was awesome.

And it has been here in Toledo for over 60 years , current owner has owned it for oh , at least 50 years , I think he bought it when he was 16 , he bought it from Keith Knecht, a famous pinstripper.

It was @ the Butler Co. fairground and You couldn’t have been more than 11/12 years old. That day was when I determined was going to have a 51. Your father explained to me that Miles had sent him the pieces out of the “A” pillars and they were on the Mantle at home. I’ve never forgot that day or when he had his 54’ Chevy set up with the juke box and the Big pair of dice in Pittsburgh, where he stored his stuff to detail his cars or his Chairs. He treated me so well when he talked to me, he’ll never know what a positive influence he was on this young person. That is the kind of impression this gray haired guy would like to have on young guys. I don’t think your Dad ever knew my name, but I never forgot Mr. Don Curtin or his Cars. A true Gentleman——God bless you Don, Your Father, and the entire Family. Wish I could have bought that 51 with the 50 front end. Miles Mesa was always one of my favorite builders after your Dad had that beautiful Merc built. May Miles Rest In Peace. Kustom Heaven is going to be off the Charts!!!
