Wow, finally a Merc that isn't chopped 9 inches, doesn't have a DeSoto grille, has real Appleton's mounted correctly,
has decent looking rear view mirrors, has no sun visor and isn't laying on the ground like it's suspension has collapsed.
Yeah, I like it.

That's Palle Johansen's (owner of the Jackie Stewart Ford)Mercury originally built by Dick Dean for Lee and Susan Lucero.

 

Looks like the perfect taildragger stance to me.

 

I think it could go up in the back with a hitch, so it could pull a digger to the track.

 

The tail dragger look is traditional. I can drive my car in the slammed position, but I enjoy it more in the taildragger stance. Try it sometime.

 

I'm not in the mood for reality.

Honestly not sure if I'd posted these pictures before.

 

All i gotta say is I'm glad it's not 1990. The baubles and accessories and colors and... YUCK!
Can't wait to get back yo the basics with my '49 in 2019...
