  11. I've always thought that red and white merc with the victoria side trim was a good looking car. The '56 Plymouth grille is a different but nice change. If I remember right it had '55 Lincoln tail lights as well.

  20. Yup, that looks great. Eventually, I'll be putting those tail lights on my Merc, although they will be set down lower.

The wheel wells on that Merc are also a defining element!

This used to be mine, built from a stocker between 1990 and 1994. I wanted to go the the Holland MI Merc Deuce ReUnion with it, but shop never kept their promise to meet my deadline. Ran out of money, and garaged it for 10 years. Never did get it on the road, or maybe I would have kept it.

The guy I sold it to, thankfully did not put a hood scoop on it. (He REALLY liked to Cobra movie car and wanted one for himself) In fact nothing done by that owner except half a masked off flame job.

A truly talented guy in Lincoln NE has it now. He took it from the kustom shell that I got it to, and got it wired, plumbed, brakes, fuel system, etc.... all the stuff to make it stop and go. It was a thrill for me to see it moving under its own power on the streets of Salina the first year they put together a "Merc Gathering", which is where this picture was shot.
