Hard to believe but I think this is the same car as above as previously discussed here on the HAMB. @stanlow69 and @OG lil E put a lot of the detective work in on figuring this out. And it doesn't look like either of these two pics now as it has a 54 Mercury front bumper/grill. See page 23 and 24 of the "What Ever Happened To ..." thread for more info.
Found one of Stanlow69's pics from Salina KKOA a few years ago.
OUCH! That's got to hurt a little.
@54delray That is the same Merc?? I like the first version but love the version I saw at the Spectacular. I was debating about doing the bumper treatment to my Merc.
In a Purrfect world both Mercurys would exist. Thanks for the Merc history lesson.
It was discussed in the W.E.H.T. thread... and you and I have talked about it too.
You have the memory of a gold fish.
He knows I'm giving him a hard time. (although it's true).
I am not usually a big radical custom guy when it come to Mercs but I think I like the Quad headlighted version better.
I need help. Please explain to me how that is a custom.
It's got some kind of different side trim on it and it's lowered, and has baby moon caps on it, I suppose it could be considered custom, the extremely mild kind.
Kinda fatter and smoother than stock.
Ya guys be kind, I’m an old man that wakes up in a new world daily, sometimes multiple times a day. It’s a kool place to be.
it’s very mild Kustom. I think I’ve posted original Mercs on this thread before. Not really concentrating on Custom pics just kool ones.
Don Lowe built Merc
Did it sell? I don't remember it being there on Sunday.
The other (2-tone) Mercury was still there...
I don't know. If I was looking for a Mercury I would have bought it..
