1948 stylemaster 2 door

Hello all,I just picked up a 1948 chevrolet stylemaster 2 door.Any info will help.Im in the process of educating myself on this vehical.One question i have is what motor is in thid car.I dont believe it the arrigenal.Number on the block on driverside is 3836848 gm28 Car is free of rust all arround interior needs help and i need bias pli tires any info is greatly appriciated.Its an older resto with lots of potential, thanks so much -Mark
