First time I saw this thread and it sounds like you have finally developed a workable plan. Keep us posted on the progress.

So far tomorrow I will be doing more and installing new suspension. Still trying to decide what I can put in it as far as a 5lug rear end.

Unless it was a 4x4, it is unlikely to fit. The 2wd version is about 54" wms-to-wms.

I don't have the s10 anymore or any of the parts except cooling and powersteering stuff but the next step after front end is done then I will be installing my 383 stroker and the new drive terrain

I have made quite a bit of progress sines the last time I posted but I might be getting rid of this, or adding a new truck in the family. There were 150 1949 chevy 3800 3door crew cabs and it is at the right price so I might jump on it. It isn't every day that you can buy a piece of history because there are only 2 known to exist, 1 in West Virginia that is a fire truck and the one that I am soon acquiring wich is a short bed crew cab. This is 100% real

yes it is crazy. The biggest problem with my projects is my dad doesn't have much faith that I can actually build a car my self while my and my friend wanna start a small shop doing some big work. He does all the big stuff like welding and plasma cutting because I haven't done that stuff before and he is the one holding me back on the 3800. But at the same time I am very thankful for having him and my truck. It's just the fact that I am able to buy the truck that is so incredibly rare.
