Like the post says. Trying to figure out what the bolt pattern is on my 48 Dodge B1. Anyone have any idea? I did the ole Google search and could really find anything substantial. Thanks guys.
I got 5 on 5 1/2 but that doesn't seem right. Most places say 5 on 4 1/2. Maybe I'm second guessing myself
Most of the older Chrysler products have 5 on 4 1/2 except early 'A' body Darts & Valiants with 13" wheels and most Imperials.
Ok perfect. Thanks guys. The wheels on the truck are 16" but the spare it 17". Here's a picture of the old thing.
Most of the 50s dodge trucks I seen had 5- 4 1/2 but I had a 50 Chrysler 8 pass sedan that had a 5-5 1/2 so could it be a heavier duty 1/2 ton with the larger bolt pattern.
With a tape measure, check the distance from the center of one lug bolt or hole to the outside edge of the furthest lug bolt or hole. The 4 1/2" circle, as stated by others, is by far the most common. Some Chrysler/Imperial and heavy duty Desotos did use the 5 1/2" bolt circle. In my experience they never used a 5" bolt pattern. Chrysler dodge had 5 on 7" for 4x4 trucks. 5 on 5.5" for two wheel drive and 5 on 4.5" for most cars.
