Hot Rods 1948 chevy truck..found this today

    2015-05-14 23.17.14.jpg I ran across this 48 chevy 6600 truck..was a moving truck..been vandalized and sitting out many years. The guy said he bought 30 yrs ago. He want $200 for it.complete mechanically. If anyone needs it I can provide a location..near columbus ohio

    The cab is all most guys on here would want off that one as the nose is totally different than pickups but at 200 that would end up being a free cab and that massive straight frame would make a great buck base for a frame table with plenty for scrap $$ in the mix for the rest of it.

    I know it is heavy..I had to move it to get out a 78 c10 from the same guy

    Mr48, I'd never heard of making a frame table out of an old chassis like that. Do you know of a build thread or something where I could glean some ideas from. I like the idea of a rolling table. Never built or owned a table but definitely need one.

    Right. When I temporarly lost my 48 Chevy panel truck door hinges a guy wanted almost that much for used hinges.

    For $200 I'd buy it and just stash it. That's giving it away.

    $200 and shipping to Denmark would just about be a square deal.
    Remember in the 70's when they were just old farm trucks. The farmer would think you;re crazy for wanting that?
