You are gonna do a build thread I assume !
What did you take out of yours?
Thats the pic in my head, Awesome
..especially since Aaron finished it up.
Not too much, Not too little
Bob, I'm not much on build threads but, I'll post some.
Vertical 1 1/2 A pillar, moved the roof forward to match the posts and dropped the rear vertical 2 1/4.
The roof is uncut, the rear window I moved up the roof 5 inches. Built the new cat walk from the old roof base line to the roof. Sail panels are not modified or cut.
There is a whole build thread of it way back somewhere. Follow my profile name or I'm sure Aaron has a link or photos if you need them.
I agree. I looks fantastic. It's perfect.
Well its been cut 2.5"!
Still a bit of finishing to do, but the profile is there.
Looks good man!!!!
Yeah, nice job on the chop. A testament that sometimes less is more!
Thanks y'all, I like the results.
its gonna make a real nice Taildragger.
A couple of my in progress 36 taken by akrone.
Looks great Kipper! Nice back drop
Jeeze....that's really turning out nice
The trim on the skirts reminds me of Barris's personal first custom
Wow Kippers you car looks stunning! Really nice work.
Check out Kippers' build thread here:
But be prepared to have your jaw dropped...
Cool looking 36
And thetrim is 41 Buick ,and i guess the skirts are they same
Correct they are 41 buick. they look much better than the stock ford's did.
Nice job on the chop Stevan. Like you said, not too much not too little. Looks good.
Must be a drag working in that cramped little garage of yours
Thanks Andrew, The more space you have the more you need.
I had to pull the planes out to get that much space.
The car looks great, Kippers!
When during this era did frenching headlights become common?
Tim, see this thread that Rikster started on the Lopez coupe:
I don't know when things became common, but it was apparently being done in 1946.
Glad you like the location, its a nice place to cruise.
Definitely time for a bump.
im not sure where my car belongs , but will try it here , it has some custom touches , tail lights , grill and dash
Its a recent import to australia , does anyone know it ?
its a 48 chrysler with a desoto grill
I thought I should say that the car will be jacked up off the ground when I get it and the airbags more than likely removed as they are a sore point with the authorities .
It has to have 100mm ground clearance minimum before I can get it registered
Ah, that's music to my ears!
You have a pretty good looking car, could you post a picture of the front?
It would look killer with the front whitewall completely exposed, and slightly lower in the rear.. with the skirt just hiding the steel wheel.
Kinda like this?
i hope itll end up sitting a bit more like this
That grille treatment looks good from what i can see!
I can't wait to see the car finished!
Are those Volkswagen oval grilles?
