I have a 47 Fleetline that has the round Harrison heater, the core is cracked and all the ones i look up are for earlier years or say they only fit trucks of my year. I would just hate to spend the money for a new heater core that does not fit. Anyone have any experience with this?

Take it to a local radiator repair shop. They can replace the core

Not if it has a round core. They are made of unobtanium.

  6. I have a slightly older round Harrison heater but it has a square core inside that is fitted to a round mounting plate. Note the corners of the tanks are rounded off.

Put a rubber plug on one connection. Make a test plug out of heater hose and a fitting for the other connection and pressurized it to about 10 psi and test for leaks. Solder the leaks and you should be good.
