I'm going to put a 390 FE ford motor and cruisematic in it that I got out of a burned 64 Galaxie that had been restored. I'm using a Jag front end, MB brake setup, camero rear, GM column, Jag wiper setup. Why re-invent the wheel. You are making this easy for me. I bought the car to resell as is but the wife deceided she like the car, so....
Keep up the good work. John

  10. thanks.
that is a solid looking tudor on your avatar.
what are your plans with it.

  11. Now this is the perfect stance! That black one is too low IMO. It def nice but it makes me think of those 'mintrucks'.

Its going to look rather traditional on the outside, MII on air with a big block ford and an auto. 9" with ladder bars. Just a long haul cruiser to drive to Bonneville. Build thread on my profile.

As it sits on the picture is ride height, couple inches lower with the bags deflated.
I really dig your part utilization and creativity.

I like the hood latch set up, what kind of VW supplied the parts? Also whats the rad originally from?

  14. thanks for the compliments.

the latch is supplied by a 1989 volkswagen rabbit (they call them golf in europe).
    a jetta is the same.
the radiator is sponsored by a 1995 toyota landcruiser 4.2 litre diesel.
it's a 4 row radiator that fits nice. (I moved the radiator 3-4 inch to the front).
even the hose diameter is the same.
I must move it up a little because it sits to low in the body for now.

  15. The legs on the original part are kinda under-engineered... if the legs themselves don't bend, they rip through the bolt holes. Good job, I've got a Volvo latch for mine, close to the same design only smaller.

  16. More photo's in a while.:d

Just wanted to say THANKS for the front end engineering. Just put mine on & it is great. What spring did you use for the rear? I have cut the stock one 5 times and it still sits too high. I see yours is different. John

  21. nice job John.
I see you have a nice tool to remove the rear axle ;-)

in the front I cut 1.75 coil of the spring.
in the rear I have springs that came from a volkswagen.
and a 3rd gen camaro axle.
but I'm planning to mount coilovers.

  22. at this moment we are busy with the topchop.
but first I'm going on hollyday.

    sneak preview::D

2 things----How did the car wind up on it's side in your garage? Are my eyes going wacky or is the stater on the LEFT side of the car? Nice build by the way! BILL RINALDI

  24. look at the bottom of page 3 of my topic.
there went something wrong with my carlift.

the engine is a '74 Pontiac engine.
they have the starter on the drivers side.

  27. I know...
I did want to make a seperate topic of it when the chop was completly done.
but the hollyday made it last longer as suspected.

the chop is in progress I will post it this week.
for now watch the pic's on a dutch forum.

Very very cool! what year jag was it? does the IFC just plum fit right up without much mod?

  29. Do a search on the HAMB for Jag and you will find dozens of threads
and more info than you will ever need. The front and rears of these
have been put in more cars and trucks than you could ever imagine. :D
