I made this quick video to show the exhaust (Brant), and also to give an idea to the kind of music I play.

I play the guitar and sing.

Jeff, that was an early song by Bo Diddley. I play a lot of t bone style stuff too.

Well I've encountered a problem.. I was on my way through a mountain snow storm (as always), and it did fine through the storm...

But when I got to Sacramento, I noticed that when I slowed down and pushed in the clutch, the car would start shaking and start knocking......

    Then it would die.

I haven't figured out what the problem is yet, I'm hoping its a motor mount making the knocking sound and a bad clutch making the car die. I hope :(

Poor you with that driver! Lol

Good to know it wasn't likely too serious.

Is the clutch reservoir full? If that clutch goes I think it would slip in stead of stay engaged.

If you replace the motor mounts get the polyurethane ones.

How does it run in neutral?

Brant, its not the mount thats broken, its where it was welded to the frame. I looked underneath and saw that the weld had broken.

I filled the clutch resivoir just a week or two ago.

I luuuuv yer' car Aaron. I can't believe I missed this thread, just read the whole thing. Dig your vision for the car, and what you've done so far. If you need help sometime (as with your spotlight install) send me a note, I'd be glad to help out.

Damn it! That would make a hell of a noise and vibrations.

Have you tried repairing the bad weld or whatever broke enough so it doesn't move? Then see if you still have the same issues. If the motor is moving around that will cause other stuff to move.

Also that clutch ain't that old.

Yeah Im going to weld the mount and see if the knocking stops.

I'm pretty sure I'm having clutch issues, it doesnt want to go into reverse and makes a crazy whirring sound once its in reverse.

Gosh I hope its not a lower end engine knock
