Big thanks to Roger Odell for helping me find a matching spotlight
I can't tell you how happy I am that the car is finally getting done right.
From the bottom of my heart. Thank you Aaron.
You're welcome man. Thanks for building it so well up to this point and being so honest and helpful throughout the sale.
Bodywork is near!!!!
Are you kidding.......you suck!
Those are going to look smokin' on your sled!
Awesome! I better get off my ass and send you that pattern!
Looking really good - love the stance and those skirts def look better.
I can't remember, but what colour are you going to paint it?
Keep up the good work.
That's one sweet looking "bomb" as they call them in my neck of the woods.
no. that's not a bomb. thats a kustom.
Sweet "Kustom" indeed!
Haha hurry up!! I'm anxious to get these things on
As of right now its going to be a single stage gloss black, thanks for the compliments
I see you are going through the change.....ha ha
Almost done with the wondow trim holes, just need to do the belt line holes now.. I'm out of welding gas for now
Also welded on the chrome pencil tips. They will be flat in no time
Brant sent me some great 41 chevy gauges, not sure if I like them as much as the 46 ones though.. we'll see.
I'll post a video hopefully tonight of the exhaust sound.. it sounds GD!!!
Yor car is bad ass man! Always liked that 46 grill!!
dude i didnt know you got a 46!!!
Swingo, what a dandy, congrats on a cool t.d. Chevy. Luv it man. I am sure the only time we see that baby on a trailor its busted, or stolen!!~sololobo~
Congrats on finding the spots. I wish I could find a pattern for my truck for mine as I am having a bitch of a time trying to get them mounted. Really nice work so far!

One less competitor for spotlights! Please take careful/detailed pictures of how the spot lights mount and if you have any issues, my Olds has the same body shell and I'd like to see how yours mount before I mount mine. Details that make or break!
Keep up the good work.
Eighteen years old? Young man,you must make your folks proud. You've sure impressed us. No more than a quarter inch raising of the front! And I AM from the 50's.
Got the trailer hitch off... the bolts were halfway ground off from dragging on things.. so it was quite the ordeal.
The plate is mounted too high, it will be fixed.
Black? You are either a glutton for punishment or unbelievably ambitious I wouldn't want to do the body work required to paint a car Black but good on you if you do it would look killer.
Looks great. Any chance the rear fenders will get molded on?
Thanks, the 46 has always been my favorite!
Its been kept a secret in the Facebook and Instagram world
Thanks man! Good to hear from you. And you got that right, no chance of this car being trailered anywhere, no matter how nice it gets!
Haha yes, I have finally found a pair. Who knows, someday maybe I'll go even more mental and HAVE to get a pair of 552s.. I'll post plenty of pictures of the whole process.
Yes sir! Working on these cars definately keeps me out of trouble
I know.. I don't know why I feel the need to go black.. but at this point...
Maybe I'll change my mind and go with a dark red like the Matranga Merc, or a dark green. Either way, It wont be anything but dark!!
Yes!! The rear fenders will definately get molded to the body.
great car your doing some good things to. but you better put that dog on a diet he looked alittle thick in that one pic. lol
He's not thick, just fluffy.
Aaron, that car was originally black.....I told you that already huh? And it's from either AZ or NM.
Looking fanfreakintastic. The cats pajamas.
This car is one of my main inspirations.
He kept the side trim, rocker trim, and stock grille.
Obviously mine wont have a carson top, but the general feel of this car is what I'm going for. I love the WIDE whites and elegant stance and appearance. This car is perfect, in my opinion.
I want a car that looks like it could have belonged to this guy..
...because to me, thats what customizing a car is all about. Making a Ford look like a Packard - building the car of a rich man on a union worker's budget.
Awesome job on the '46 so far! Great car and a very entertaining thread. Driving it while you are building on it has to be a lot of fun too. Keep up the good work and the posts!
Awesome thread man, I'm close to your age and we gotta keep on keepin' on. We might just be the last ones left
