Alright my friends... the upholstery is done. Paco's Custom Upholstery in Roseville CA did an EXCELLENT job.

If you nailed it any harder it would be pregnant. Unbelievably nice transformation.

I followed your build from the beginning and you've come a long way. You hit it square on the head. Congrads!

    It is perfect.

I can't help but be choked up, so forgive me. I am feeling a little nostalgic and sentimental.

I can't express in words how happy I am about this car. I am so thankful you wanted it and were willing to save it from certain death.

I NEVER thought I would ever see it done. It is exactly as I dreamed it would be from the moment I first got the car on the road. I used to stare at it dreaming of what I wanted. Calori Coupe in fashion. Hotrod at heart. Dreamed of the chop for a few years. Never did get the rear suspension figured out, and I hated that damn column!

I did get the hotrod part right! It was fast....and sounded mean. I wish that trans would have lived longer for you and I wish I hadn't put that locker in there. That was the biggest mistake. Should have done a clutch style posi instead and kept it smooth.

LORD knows I didn't have the means nor time. It being my only car, it truly was never going to get done.

    Anyway, I'm rambling....its your car.

It is obvious you were made for each other.

Wow, somehow I missed the earlier part of the thread until last night and between last night and this morning I read the whole thread.

Between the two of you you have taken a beater with a bunch of wrong stuff on it and turned it into what will be viewed as one of the classic late 40's Chevy coupe customs of all time.

Scabs removed, chop just right to get the roof line right and then a perfect stance and incredible black paint and finished off with an absolutely timeless interior all the way around. Perfect.
