Standard Catalog of American Cars does not list that dimension for the '42 thru '48 models....much to my surprise. If you have the car in hand, why not just measure it?

They drive good with stock front suspension, maybe relocate the shock mounts.

  7. To update the suspension relocate the upper shock mounts, get a thicker front sway bar made up or find something similar that's thicker, put discs on the stub axles, new 2" lower front springs, 2" blocks on the rear with new shocks, also a rear sway bar........maybe join the P15-D24 Forum...............whilst the Chrysler is Not a Plymouth or Dodge the same basic chassis & suspension is used in all mopars from the late 30's thru to the late 40's and you really do NOT need to swap the front end to a Mustprang or similar to get it to handle and drive well.....but its your car.......I'd suggest checking out a few mopars before getting the hotaxe ready..............regards, Andyd
