Wow, great work, and lots of it. Keep rockin it man!

  3. No, no thread yet. I'm still concentrating my efforts on other cars at the moment. My 38 is rotted pretty badly on the bottom side. I do have a 39 sedan, and was originally going to use it to do the top swap, but it is in the process of becoming a carson topped 4 door at the moment.

Once I make progress, I'll post a thread.

    Thanks!

How about a lighter shade of red with a bright white interior. You could name it "the SnowBall". I know how much you like them. Lookin forward to seeing this one.

This one is gonna be a KNOCKOUT! but of course all your builds tend to be.

Going to be fun to see the progress.

If thats your idea of a mild custom, I cant imagine what a full-custom would be! ;)

cool. Don't ever show that cut up sedan to old Don Knopp in Niles if you go there for parts, he would probably kick you out of the store and ban you from ever coming back..

  13. Very cool! Can't wait to see more.

Zephyr coupes are some slickest cars around, and I don't get to see enough of them. It looks like you are going really nail this one! Subscribed.

Looks great man. I remember you bringing this up sometime ago. Glad to see you're going to town on it. I had a 37 3 window roof I sold to a fellow HAMBr who converted a 4 door sedan to a coupe. Last time I saw it he was asking about 10k for it.

We should be starting on the suspension work this Friday. It will be set up for maximum cruising comfort, and the least amount of disruption to the stock floor. Skoty needs to keep the wife and the dog happy on long trips.

This is going to be one sweet ride. The least mild 'mild custom' I've ever seen.

Scooty (I Love Ya !, and don't even Know Ya )

Tha' '38 to '41 Zippers have always been a favorite of mine.......
The top has to come down, Mild is OK, BUT DOWN,
These back top sections are great Laid Down, Improves the already great flow.........
I used the complete top, back section /with window,
on '40 Merc Coupe I built in early '80 s, and kept the heart-top side winders....
Great work, lQQkin' forward to more Pics.

When i first got this car i was super excited but at the same time thinking how in the world is this gonna be a cherry car or should i say how long is this gonna take. Being the car it is and the small amount of these cars produced its well worthe the effort and time. Thought alot on how to cut my build time almost more then half by the donor car. Now i see the light.

Well i mean mild because all im really doing is taking a car that was on its way to being scrap metal to a quality solid car again and then only customising a few things.

    Zephyr laundry list
    make a solid car again
    mild 2"-2.5" chop
    mold all the fenders
    possibly shave the handles
    change headlights
    custom suspension
    custom paint
rechrome and polish all trim etc.

I guess in a way maybe i think mild because it all looks like it could have come that way stock except the suspension part.
My plymouth has alot of work done to it custom wise and this car wont have as much.
