There's a lot of nice looking 41's out there. I know there are more then what posted here, I am one of them. Looking for a picture of the hood spring mounting points...... http://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb...5Z50000021d~Z5Z5Z528165~Z5Z5Z51~Z5Z5Z5~Z5Z5Z5 Been 15 years since mine had a hood on it. It is a 46 and I am putting a 41 hood and hinges on it. I know they are interchangeable, but this is what I have. I know that some people run without the spring also, just want to know where they mount to see if I am going to run with them or not.

Yes they do. Looked at two cars this weekend and they both had 46-48 hinges. Seems like I am missing the brackets that mount to the cowl.
Do you have any close ups?

The one is his pic is early 41. Late 41 thru 48 are the same. They mount in the same holes on the side of the cowl and the hood. No one repops the early 41 hinges and arms so your SOL for new ones.

This was for sale at the LARS for $38k, which seemed reasonable. Still a nice car. LARoadsterShow2009 107.jpg

We need to see more photos of your project 41 Ford.

That one is GORGEOUS!!!! it has Ayala and Sam Barris written all over it.

But we do need more photos.

Did you use 39-40 Merc rear fenders on it???

    heres mine "the Suicide Sedan"
the wheels were red when I got it but it has ripple disc on it now, its my daily 70+ miles round trip.kinda crossed between a bomb and 50's style Kustom, Im sure some will give me shit for it bein a more door and others because it is flat black but It's mine and I like it.[IMG]

Looks ike a great family cruiser to me....but I may be a little biased since I am workin on a 47, thats gonna have the same stance and visor, but I promised myself I wouldnt paint it flat black :D .Got any better daytime pics of it to share??

  29. I have a 41' Ford convertible which I purchased in 1962. It's a for real 50's custom done sometime around 1956. As soon as I figure out how to post pic's I will. Car was featured in Rodders Digest, Aug. 05' pg. 20 and Kustoms Illustrated #4, pg. 24. Former owner was Ron Fletcher of Ft. Wayne Indiana. I've been unable to trace history of the car beyond him. If there's any old timers from the area who have any info it would be appreciated. At the time the car was candy apple red , white top, flathead, 39' 3 speed, black and white tuck and roll, Plymouth rear bumper, etc.
