I have a 41' Ford that i lowered the front end with a 3" Dropped i beam and a reverse i spring. i am currently running a 6.50/16 Bias ply Now the clearance between tire and fender is really tight and rubs occationaly. The axle is 37ish perch to perch and 48 3/4" king pin to king pin. my idea is possibly a axle with a width of 47".
    Thoughts or suggestions!!

I had to use a 36 ford dropped axle (narrower) on my 41. I run disk brakes up front and 15" wheels. I will get you better measurements, but mine no longer rubs.

When you lowered your front end did you use a stock 1941 Ford axle? The reason I ask is because: The stock 37-41 Ford pass car axles all have the same same part number of 78-3010-A. I assume this means they are all the same. My stock 1940 Ford axle measured 48 1/2 in king pin to king pin and the distance between perches is 38 1/2. Yet, you say, your dropped axle measure 48 3/4 in king pin to king pin which is longer than the stock 41 Ford axle. Can an axle get longer when you drop it? In any case Magnum makes a dropped axle which is 3/4 in narrower thanthe stock 40 Ford axle, thereby pulling the wheels in closer. You might want to consiider switching to 15 in. wheels or increasing the backspacing on your present wheels. The photos are a 40 Ford with a Magnum (narrower) 4 in. dropped axle and a Posie 39 in spring #2040. Front wheels are 5:60x15 Coker on 15x5 1/2 early Ford truck rims. Tire clearance is good.Hope this helps.

Yup my stock axle is 48 1/2 kp to kp. The 4" dropped super bell tube i used is 47 1/2 kp to kp. FYI. My wheels are from a fifties 15" ford sorry dunno the offset, lucked up with the fit.
