Note the classifieds from December 1948. Stu Hilborn's liner for sale...$1500.

Some awesome stuff on this thread- I love the vintage pics! Here are a couple of pics of my 32. I think it fits the 40s theme.

Thanks for the scans Jimmy. Although not strictly a Hot Rod, I really dig John Williams' "full race" '40 coupe on page 26.

    Thanks for the scans Jimmy!!!!!
The size of the pages fits an iPad purrrfect, having all old hot rod magazines as an iPad app would have been the best app ever!

And I agree John Williams 40 looks terrific in that picture :)

  6. x 3 on that '40!

That Ermel McCormick track roadster predates the "Big AL II" Allison-engined flopper by a lot! Thanks Jimmy!

Thanks Jimmy for your great effort scanning the pages. Those speed parts ads are both entertaining and educating.

I love the ad on the CHrome 4" Ford Steelies. SHows that it wasn't just a rare option but something that could have been done by a lot of guys.

This though.....oh my god this coupe is rad!
