Note the classifieds from December 1948. Stu Hilborn's liner for sale...$1500.
Some awesome stuff on this thread- I love the vintage pics! Here are a couple of pics of my 32. I think it fits the 40s theme.
Thanks for the scans Jimmy. Although not strictly a Hot Rod, I really dig John Williams' "full race" '40 coupe on page 26.
Thanks for the scans Jimmy!!!!!
The size of the pages fits an iPad purrrfect, having all old hot rod magazines as an iPad app would have been the best app ever!
And I agree John Williams 40 looks terrific in that picture
x 3 on that '40!
Holy smokes jimmy! Thats just great! Thank you!
Thanks Jimmy....great stuff....old parts adds make me drool.........!
That Ermel McCormick track roadster predates the "Big AL II" Allison-engined flopper by a lot! Thanks Jimmy!
Let's see some more, I'm loving this thread!
You and me both! Keep em' coming!
Haul it over, let's get started....................
Thanks Jimmy for your great effort scanning the pages. Those speed parts ads are both entertaining and educating.
To keep it going March 1949 Hot Rod, my personnel favourite.
Jimmy----I love the Hot Rod pages you scanned. Keep em coming if you can!
I love the ad on the CHrome 4" Ford Steelies. SHows that it wasn't just a rare option but something that could have been done by a lot of guys.
This though.....oh my god this coupe is rad!
This is neat Jimmy. Thank You........
Let's get more pics of 40's period cars.
Yes, can we get some more car up. Mags are great reading and some would say a part of his thread but perhaps someone could start a seperate thread for them?????
