Features 1940 Ford pickup

Discussion in 'Traditional Hot Rods' started by HOTRODPRIMER, Dec 5, 2013.

  1. My pal Greg S. sold his 64 Fairlane back to Gregg Porter and drove across the border to check out a 40 pickup we have known about for a couple of years.

The truck has a louvered hood and a really nice Flathead, the tranny & rear axle is original.

He decided he couldn't live without it,,needs a little updating but it's a really nice old truck. HRP

I was wondering the same thing, just flip the heads, I've heard this was done back then. Really nice truck, lucky dog!

  8. I like it:cool: Would be nice in my garage:eek:

  9. Sorry, these are all Greg sent me,I've seen the truck a few times in the past but I haven't seen it in a couple of years.

The guy that had the truck had owned it a very long time so I'm sure any of the engine modifications have been done a good while back. HRP

The "generator mount" is actually the oil filter mounting point.
