Hotrod grmi, very nice! I like the look of no bumpers too! How do you like the curved one piece windshield?

A very beautiful car. Love the two strips of hood side trim.

Thanks Fordy, too bad you're on the east coast, we spend our winters in Naples. We have an RV and stay there for about 4 months.

Here's a rumble seat RHD 1939 DeLuxe coupe - complete with correct rumble steps on right side. I would think that if it was originally from a RHD country the rumble seat steps would be on the left (Passenger side) so it may have been converted to RHD. Would love to know the story on this - where it came from, where it was built. Is it a factory body built in Australia, South Africa, Argentina, Canada or elsewhere or has somebody made a phantom from a '39 convertible and a coupe? It's in the U.K. Original photos courtesy of Hamber UKRuss1960Olds....

  12. That rumble looks difficult to get in to... I was trying to imagine what foot I would put where...

Did the convertible 39's have a non functioning trunk handle as well?

The rumble seat latched from inside the car - so no trunk handle. However the step plates on the convertibles were both on the right rear fender....

We never had rumble seat 39 coupes or right hand drive in Canada.

Here's mine. Stock chassis and drivetrain. Pulled a few leafs out of the front and rear. Plotting my next move, probably paint.

The 40 is at the top of Henry's greatest visions.

Found this rough one. Glass mini flared rear fenders and hood louvers.

no, that's my dad. I had it stored out at his place while I was working on my 30 coupe. it was out at their place for five years! I just brought it home and took it all apart only to find that the floors have a lot of issues. I bought bob drake/dennis carpenter floors front to back. the second pic is at my house and i'm filling the holes in the firewall. the original had been modified for a big block and was done very heavy handed, so in goes an real ford piece. when I get more done i'll maybe post a "post" build thread.

  28. I think that was directed to Hugh in NC as evidenced by the picture that he quoted...
