Features 1940 and 1939 Deluxe Fords.......Lets see em!

1. Yeah, I remember PMing back and forth about stance and such. You car really turned out nice. I have a set of Halibrand Sprints on order for the rear. Still waiting. I'd like to get a set of kidney beans for the rear, but they are not available in the back space I need (from Real Rodders wheels) and custom back space orders are way too salty for me!

Tires are
General Altimax " />

205x60x16 25.7 tall
255x60x17 29.1 tall

Wheels are custom made by EVOD and painted to look kinda
like a stock wide five.....the hubcap has a V8 emblem machined
into it but it isnt the real 39 emblem....but I liked it better. Not
a perfect repro of a wide five but close. Not many folks notice
the wheels.

19. I was curious. They look good. In the profile picture, I was trying to determine if it was me or if the back wheels were taller than the fronts.

What's the back ride height look like? From the pic of the front wheel, compared to the above pics, I am assuming that the car is bagged.

Post 307 shows car at normal ride height.....and yes, it is bagged....39s and 40s just look too good sitting really low to not bag it....I cant get up our driveway if it is dropped. It's a bear to find matching tires in big and short sizes.....thanks to Tire Rack's search page, we found this setup that matched our wish list.....tall tires in a 60 profile are limited.

The windows are not blue like the picture...the car has the neat 3M window tint that makes pics blue for some reason....the tint is clear on the windshield and really light on the side glass but it works great in the sun.

A couple of my coupe. Originally a dry, straight car from Colorado.

I feel very fortunate to have been able to buy the car from a buddy who had to let the project go. The car arrived in many baskets, but was a lot of fun to build.

That's my grumpy face on the left and Jim L. the buddy i bought the 39 from.
This would be just after i tore the chassis apart and repainted it and got it running again.

This would be the day we brought it home, my buddy Bill L. on the right.

Mike in Rucson, that car is badass! Now I have something to strive for(less bagging it). Very clean car, damn!

Nice car b-bob....
One of the BEST additions to any 39 or 40 is a pair of Hagan Fattie rear view mirrors....you can buy their convex glass and RTV it into your existing 4" mirror. It takes away most of the blind spots....I put them on mine and didnt tell anyone but anybody that drove it or rode in it noticed them immediately.

Goal for the car was to build something that when someone walked up to it and looked outside and inside, it looked like a stocker.....no visible air bag controls, no radio, no a/c controls, nuttin but stock. With the exception of the sealt belts (and perhaps carpet), it looks like an old Ford.

29. Hey Guys,

ALL the cars look great, I can't stop looking. This is great inspiration for my 40, which is moving along more everyday.....Thanks
Also, I'm kinda looking for a vintage useable interior...Stock or R&P or? something thats been removed and ready to sell. Otherwise, I'm going with a distressed leather look, but thought I'd ask.
