1939 Ford standard business coupe, recently removed from more than 60 years storage. This car was sold new locally and was owned by one family since new. It was apparently parked around 1960 as evidenced by the matching 1960 Shelby County Alabama license plates still on the car. It is an authentic late 50's mild hot rod. Modifications include later model 59A-B engine with 3 carb induction, tube exhaust headers with cutouts made from fuel tank filler necks, custom taillights (1949 Ford?). custom bumpers (period Dodge??). Engine turns free but no effort has been made to try to start the engine and its' mechanical condition is unknown. Car has been untouched since being found except that the seat and headliner have been removed to clean out the years of rat infestation. The car is virtually complete. The floor is decent but does have some rust out in the drivers footwell that has a patch held on by sheet metal screws and brazing. The trunk floor is weak and has a large hole as seen in the photos. There are some possible old repairs to the rear pan and old lead repairs to the lower quarters. Overall, I would rate the car as being very solid and straight. The patina is amazing. The hood is included but it was not shown in this batch of photos. If you have been looking for an authentic, untouched real deal old Ford hot rod, here is your chance! Sold on bill of sale only. Alabama did not become a title state until 1975!
