Fresh from the June 2018 Greenwich Concours! This 1939 Ford Deluxe Coupe was built be well know Hot Rod expert Jerry Hagens -- author of "Full Race Flahead " Jerry is a well know old school hot rod builder. He chose the theme to be a period correct early fifties moonshine car choosing a traditional 1951 351ci Cadillac built to high performance levels using rare Eldorado dual quad intake feeding into big port Eldorado heads and exhaust manifolds. Power is driven though a rare (one year only) vintage 1937 Cadillac / LaSalle 3 speed floor shift transmission. Just refreshed with engine out with receipts including: - removing the engine and transmission for refresh - inspected all trans gears / bearings / syncros and resealed the LaSalle transmission (leak free) - new clutch and TO bearing - rebuilt clutch linkage - new front and rear engine main seals - new valve cover gaskets - complete tune-up - installed custom drain bung on differential and replaced posi fluid - rebuilt emergency brake assembly - adjusted brakes - rebuilt the 39 steering box with new worm/sector gears and new seals - fresh alignment - new steering column top bushing - NOS new original 1939 Ford Deluxe Speedometer installed The Coupe looks right, sound right and drives right! - comes with a complete 2 inch thick build book with the history of car, the builders, build pictures, all receipts Stock Unmolested Body and Interior Original all steel un-chopped or modified Fords are getting harder and harder to find. Jerry kept it original and did the body work using the hammer/dolly method to smooth any dings and imperfections. Painted was applied by Todd James of Rats Rides -- Bradford, Tennessee.
