The boss has one.
It's a 38. Is that close enough? I think it looks cool!
I'm usually a coupe and roadster kinda guy myself, but lately I have been feeling a fat Ford sedan. With '39s, I have always been a deluxe or nothing kinda guy too. I'm also usually one of the first people to bark when some says "Can a four door be cool?"... So imagine my suprise when one of my favorite cars at Good Guy's Scottsdale gig this weekend was a '39 standard, AND a Fordor!!! The sign of a new, kinder, gentler me? Let's hope not!
This is my friend Dougs at our shop. We are doing a make it run from the bottom up (not top down).......Been sitting for many years ......
That's my all time favorite. Makes me want one an dBob McCoy is one of the greatest guys ever.
'38-40' Tudor sedans are bitchin' cars that don't need a whole bunch.
didnt chris own one for a few minutes recently!!
Hope you like this one
That's my car. I had two sedans one tudor and the fordor. For some reason other than the fordor being a tad nicer I liked the fordor. The goodguys trip was my first trip out of town it did well and inhad a blast driving it.
Perhaps a bit radical for this thread (and it's a hybrid 39/40), but I think my buddy's car is the tits! Although these pics were taken at our local show, this car was built to be driven and it will get the wheels run off of it!
Tired iron ,i gots to have it!
I absolutely love the 38-40 Ford fastback design. To me, chopping, carson topping, etcetera just screws them up.
Im a bit afraid of those cars, though, as I have this recurring nightmare where Im in one, barreling down a hill toward a stout tree, and the brakes only just barely slow the car.
More pics please!!!
this si the coolest 39 sedan i've ever seen.perfect chop.
Some good lookin iron on here guys.
I own a '40 but have secretly always prefered a '38 or '39.
yeah, he sold it a few months back. It was nice and priced right too.
Working on hood and side installation this winter.
not a custom or a 39 but I like the simplist look of this one
If we are throwin stray pics of '40s, here's mine.
Pretty simple too.
This is my 39 convertible sedan sorry it's not a 2 door
Check out my profile will post more pics soon
this one belongs to my buddy
More of Paul's car
The last thing to alter on 38,39,40's are the grills, to me.
39 sedan as a mild custom, for sure! I know, its a 40, but the front on a 38/9 is also great, some say better!
Man, I wish I had more, but this is a fresh build and the car is now put away for the winter.. I will see if anyone else around here has some I can post. It's a gorgeous interpretation of a really nice body style (IMHO). Here are a couple more local Tudors to keep the thread going:
cool thread, just picked up one of these myself... it is on the back burner for now, but maybe in 2-3 years i'll get to it.
Normally I totally agree but that Caddy grille on the red car in Hotrodsurfer's photo looks mean as hell to me.
Sold this a couple of months ago...
