Hot Rods 1939/40 Ford pickup question

It's been awhile since I've been on the board. So I have a '39 cab and '40 hood, fenders,running boards and grill. I'm not really sure what the differences between these years other than the beltline. Has anyone ever built a ' 40 pickup using a '39 cab? What challenges are there, etc. Thanks, -stick

 

I think someone recently said that you need the '40 fenders and core support.
