    Hi everyone.

Currently building my 38 ford panel truck and have a set of 38 deluxe hubcaps that I would love to use , but will be using steel wheels which came on my truck. Is their anyway to use / adapt the 38 hubcaps and use them on the steel wheels ?

    thanks

  2. I suppose you could try to add clips to the steel wheels like the wide 5s had to hold the cap but it might not look great as the lip on the deluxe cap would be exposed without the recess that is present on the original style wheels?

I am interested in trying the same thing but for 1937 hubcaps.

I have noticed the diameter of the stainless cap portion to be about 7-1/2 or 7-5/8 which if separated from the steel ring would fit over some reproduction ford caps, but I would rather use clips and original caps.

Are there any other ford or mopar (5x4.5 bolt pattern) that can utilize the 11.25 diameter clip held cap?

Otherwise adding these VW clips to a smoothie rim might work?
