Features 1937 to 1942 Willys Picture Thread

^^^ I don't think I've ever seen a photo of that car, but there's a brief shot of it in the Jackson Bros' Gasser video. What's ironic is the announcer calls it a Hudson, perhaps because of the Hornet name on the car. Pretty obvious it's a Willys sedan.

 

I see Speedway Motors list a 44", 46", 48" and 50" straight axle. Which is the best width to use under a 41 Willys as they ship worldwide??? What is the best universal rear springs to use as i plan on running a 354 Hemi. Cheers Sammy

 

Depends whether you have spindle mount wheels or bolt on wheels, also spindles matter also, I believe the Willys axle is 48" between kingpins, someone will confirm i'm sure.

My car has a 48" axle with spindle mount wheels and 32 spindles and I reckon the width is just right.

 

I have an axle for sale and my friend is filling a container to Australia as we speak.

Thats Paul Balash's old Willys that was stolen from a hotel parking lot in Bowling Green Ky a few years ago never to be found again. He built a new all steel coupe to replace it.

Yeah dave still hard to believe that still goes on after all these years....its hard to be nice to people,show your stuff and let your guard down... I lost a whole rig with a 63 ss nova in 89 never recooped anything, just finished it... About 25 k in 80,s money.......2 days later gone ...didnt even get a chance to put insurance on it.. That really hurts . Makes you look at your friends and people differently....rumor was probably someone who new me ?
