Back in 2007 at one of our Friday Night Gatherings, my friend Randy's 51 Austin.
Cool shot, I can't zoom in but is that the W that has something like 8 Cycle
written on the door?

My annual get together...g-willys MN.Back to the 50's week
Sky-Pilot, cool LARGE picture of that pickup!
"Back to the 50s," liking that too.
Here's a small group of us in 2014 at the American Iron Car Show, Pleasant Hill,
Dan's Anglia is running a Blown Injected sbc, what a handful,
4th Annual Hot Rod Magazine Championships Drags - Riverside. S&S Racing Team's 1941 Willys Coupe Gasser with K. S. Pittman at the wheel.
I got to meet KS Pittman and his wife Lavaun
at the 1999 Gateway Gasser Gathering in St. Louis.
A group of us flew out there, got to meet the greats!
Here's shot I took of KS at Sears Point drags, now Sonoma, in the mid 1990s.
Aw yes...I remember it well...our club Mid America Willys put it on, and Chuck and Marcella Lipka, and Barb and Greg Dummer were the brains behind it all. They also did the 1994 Gasser Gathering at Mile High in Denver.
Lots of fun...G-Willys
On another note...when did Sears Point change its name? I was visiting my sister and took a side trip to Sears Point, and happened to see a Willys from the Fargo ND area go into the wall that day. I have before and after pictures, and will post if I can locate them...very messy! g-willys

Two Willys stock cars. The bottom car is still in existence but needs restoration!
very nice shot Mr Mick !
Got my shirt too ! George signed few thinks for me-- also think that Sat they had announced the passing of Doug Cookie Cook that weekend---
thanks 4 helping me with that LARGE shot lol !
This is what the #92 Willys stock car looks like today BUT....don't get any idea of purchasing it. The owner is VERY firm in not accepting any offers for it.
G-Willys, I was a member of the Mid America Willys Club too!
Still have my GGG clock on the wall, still works.
Sky Pilot, you were there too? Yes, what a shame about Doug Cook.
What year was that crash at Sears Point?
Was it a black and blue Hemi powered Willys coupe?
Sears Point changed it's name in 2001 to Infineon for 10 years, then to Somona in 2012.
I still call it Sears Point,
I am searching through my hundreds of photo's...I'll find it...Getting too old to remember the date, but it was called Sears Point at the time. G-willys
Mick, I have a 1996 directory in front of me and sure enough, there you you are on perada Drive, with Cranson below you, and a guy named coupe (John) above you. The club started in 1988...what year did you join? Greg and Barb are still around...although like all of us, getting older. g-willys
I must have joined around 1995, that's when I picked up the coupe.
Do you still have all those yellow magazines?
Remember Johnny Rocca's 33 Willys making a pass and all of a sudden it got dark and things were flying sideways? My first experience with a tornado, all we get out here is occasional earthquakes.
That was a great gasser gathering!
