Features 1937 to 1942 Willys Picture Thread

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Hot Rod Willys, Jan 15, 2011.

  1. Pat is correct. 1933-1935 Willys sedans have a full bead around the back, 1936 has a shortened bead.

Just a question for the Willys fanatics in the Phoenix / Metro valley.
Back in the early 70's I bought a '42 Willys coupe from a guy named Lyle,,.can't remember his last name. He lived in Mesa, Az. and had several Willys. Anyone from that area remember him? . Just curious.

We finished this all steel '40 coupe for Jim Ellinger in summer of 2006. Sadly, he passed away a couple years later. The car was sold, but not sure where it went. Bad ass car. 540 Hilborn injected Hemi. One of the coolest cars I've ever worked on[IMG][IMG][IMG]

Speed Gems, the purple Rosey's Automotive Willys was originally owned by Paul Frost from Ohio (Frost and Frost on the door). It was D/Gas national Record Holder in 1963. Here is a photo of it from 1963 or 1964 INDY. PaulFrost.JPG

LB the "Baby Cakes" was owned and built by a friend of mine Pete Stager. He is alive and well living around the Lake George area in upstate NY. The picture you posted is from Cecil County. He found the car it is a street rod now I forgot where he said it is located. Pete is on the "Dover" site his screen name is "Baby Cakes"
