Don't forget the non rounded tail pan that follows the line of the rear fenders and has no separate join seams - tail pan is three piece on real Willys. The molded in quarter panel to rocker panel behind the door is another giveaway of a 'glass repro....

I recently found this pic on my computer. I think it's the same car.

I like it better with the red paint and custom look myself. Definately not a gasser, but interesting for sure.

i guess the tach and scoop throw it off, with the red less the race accessories and a hood would be on the lines of a cord or hollywood graham nash maybe

Hello, here are a few pictures of my dads Willys Pick Up's. The green one is from the 60's & is a 41 Willys Pu with a 429 Caddy motor & the tan one was built in the early to mid 70's is a 40 Willys Pu with a Chevy 350, Bone stock on the out side and the interior. The tan one was Street Rodder December 1980 buy the new owner but credits my father. I remember going to rod runs in the tan Willys riding in the bed. Nothing beats a Willys Thats why I chose a Pick Up

Really diggin the 50 Coupe a well.
Kind of both spectrums of the gasser era there. Olds would have been a top contender in the early days, and we all know how the Willys did in the later era!

thanks Joe this Olds was a top contender for sure . belonged to marshall deciur....M.A.D. hydro....he was building them mid to late 50,s way before the hydro stick people were <b.m> they heard about him ,came down from cali to find out what he was doing . when they couldnt get info they offered to hire him. he ran them back.. he was a follower of gene adams as well. the car was unbeatable until 63 when a light weight 427 galaxy from L & L auto ... hence louie malano got him by less than 1/2 fender. brought it out last night been laid up since 63... made a 50 year appearence last night.. a few of the old guys that are still around were glad to see it..... Boogie Scott of new orleans made the headers in the 50,s for it was there ,ran a bantam olds coupe and famous dragster chassis builder and recently in the 200 mph club at the salt flats hes well into his 70,s...Sorry to get off the Willys trail, still good gasser history thanks</b.m> ps still has sept 61 pit pass on the visor from indy drove it there and ran t/o time only $1.25 to get in

I run coilovers vertically mounted with a 9" and a 4 bar setup with panhard bar. Bilsteins are absolutely second to none - they transformed the ride of the car totally....

Anyone have info on this 41 Willys w/ the Service Center Racing logo on the door?
I asked Richard at Service Center & he recalls a guy asking to run the logo a year or so ago but they don't have any part w/ the sponsorship of the car.
Car is local & I've never seen it- except this video.

^^^don't know the car for sure - could be Larry Parker's with a makeover - his 1941 is yellow, but it has bolt on ten spoke faux spindle mount front wheels. The Gasser classes had to run front brakes until 1969 when Funny Cars pretty much killed the gasser classes. Altereds ran spindle mounts - not gassers. I think Kiwi Kev has an original Service Center license plate frame on Nasty Habit...

Yea- the spindle mount deal is a HAMB thing, not a Gasser thing.
Just noticed that car posted above has 10 spokes- looks wrong on a Willys to me.
I have no idea if it's glass or steel or a real race car. Seems to me Richard said the guy told him they were building a tribute style B/G race car so who knows.
