I'll definetly be building this car and sharing it with you guys. I am gonna chop it but not much maybe 2"-2.5 or so to have the roof somewhat like the 38-39 roof. I only want to do stuff to it that will enhance it's already bueatiful lines. I'll most likely change a few things on it and would love to see it in glossy black with big bias ply whitewalls, bumpers etc. I have the idea in my head on how I'd like to see it finished. I know alot guys don't like the 40's as much but I really dig them. If any of you guys come across parts for the 40 or a decent sedan/5w coupe for a good price let me know. Need parts.

We've got a '39 Lincoln Zephyr Convertible Club Coupe. There were 638 built and according to the LZOC there are 17 known to exist. We are restoring ours and have collected almost all the parts needed.

Actually, the first and second photos are both '38's. Here is a photo of our '39.

There was a 38/9 3W body and frame a few years ago at a local old car auction. It went for under $1000.....

H ROD 50 if you are interested I have in the back of my shop 4 Zephyr's. I think they are 1938-41 Not to familiar with them. They are really rusty. Enough of em to make one complete that seems for sure. They are withen one to two years of each other. A convertible not many fenders or parts left on it. A four door very complete. A 2dr three window coupe has side damage. and a five window 2dr coupe very complete looking.

  17. Just keepin' old posts alive. Pic is of my '37 that was "streetrodded" in the '90's. Plan is to do a mild custom Westergard style.

I never tought I would ever see pictures of this car again as it was sold to the Ford museum a few years back. I can say that I was involved doing the V12 engine in this car ( beige one in the picture ) the car has aluminum heads. One of the owners of this car was Dave Cole from Santa Maria Calif who sold it to Roy Thorson from Green Valley Arizona who than sold it to the museum after he restored it to original condition.

Are the 40s the same as the 39s. I thought I read that from 37 to 41 the wheelbase grew a few different Times.

Does anyone know the width from hub to hud and a 40 Zephyr.
