Technical 1936 Ford

Good morning fellas ,I’m helping my friend work on his 1936 Ford four-door all stock. Trying to talk him into hydraulic brakes,my question is will the original 36 wide five brake drums fit on 1940 Ford brakes and backing plates ?thank you.

If memory serves me you need '37 up spindles to bolt up juice backing plates and I think '37 to '39 drums also...

You will need to swap your front brake drums out for 1937 to 39 front drums. Don't forget the spacer kit.
