What tool / disc / technique do you use to get that final finish grind like on the front fender.
    Thanks!

AFTER PULLING OUT THE AFTER MARKET FIREWALL THAT WAS IN THE CAR I REALLY WANTED SOMETHING THAT DIDNT LOOK SO PLAIN, I CAME ACROSS A STOCK FIREWALL AND I DO LIKE IT ALOT SO WE WENT AHEAD AND STARTED FILING ALL THE HOLES IN IT AND FIXING THE AREAS ON THE FIREWALL THAT NEEDED TO BE FIXED AND ALSO FIXING THE REST OF THE COWL THAT WAS MESSED UP, HERES OUR MOCK UP.

HERES A LOOK AT HOW THE MOTOR FITS IN. THE HEI DISTRIBUTOR IS USED FOR MAXIMUM CLEARENCE.

Sick! Those fenders are too perfect, smack em with a ball peen a few times just so you need a little bit of filler. :D

SO AFTER FITTING THE MOTOR AND TRANNY OR SHALL I SAY AFTER THE MOTOR AND TRANNY DIDNT FIT WE DECIDED TO DO UP THE WHOLE FRAME, I HAVE REMOVED ALL ORIGINAL CROSSMEMBERS, WE WELDED ON NUTS BEHIND ALL THE HOLES NEEDED FOR FASTENING AND STARTED MAKING ALL OUR BOXING PLATES, I ALSO MADE ANY REPAIRS AND STRAIGHTENED ANY PARTS OF THE FRAME THAT WHERE WAVY. I USED 2"X5" .120 WALL FOR THE CROSSMEMBERS AND NOTCHED THE AREA FOR THE TRANNY TO SIT IN. AFTER THE DRIVESHAFT IS MADE I WILL GO BACK AND MAKE THE NOTCH TO CLEAR THE REAR CROSSMEMBER AT FULL EXTENSION OF THE AIR RIDE.
