This 78 year old pickup has spent many of its years over in Palo Alto, California. All of the original sheet metal for the truck is present. The original engine has been swapped out for a higher horsepower 59 AB motor. The motor does turn freely although no efforts were made to try and start the engine. The original rear end still resides. The brakes have been upgraded to juice brakes. The original cordoba tan can be seen under a few layers of paint (see photos of dash). The truck does have signs of surface rust. The more severe rust can be found in the passenger door, rocker and bed. The rear fenders although complete will need attention around the radius. The grille has all of the bars, but some are bent and will need attention. The front fenders and headlights appear to be in good condition as are the running boards. All of the tires should be replaced. A box of miscellaneous brake items, and engine parts are also included. This truck would make a great vintage patina cruiser, rat rod, hot rod or restore back to it former glory. The truck has a clear California pink and is currently on a non operational status with the California DMV.
