SOLD PENDING PAYMENT FOR SALE: 1936 Cadillac 322 flathead V8 with original 3-speed toploader attached. Sale includes original open driveshaft, radiator, rear axle and front suspension. The 322 was Cadillac's first monobloc V8, shoe-horned into the new 60-series and Lasalles. In larger and later cars (and Army tanks) it was punched out to 346 cubic inches and was offered in new Cadillacs through 1948. This particular drivetrain came out of a low-miles coupe, owned by one couple from new until their passing in the early 2000s or so. A wealthy, notorious hotrodder purchased the car from the couple's estate and replaced all the mechanicals with modern equipment, and offered me what he removed from the car. I know the hotrodder and his mechanic personally, both of them well-known in the community. The engine turns nicely. A general inspection, cleaning, servicing should have this bad boy up and running. I had plans to use this motor in a '27 T roadster hot rod, but other priorities continue to prevail, and I just don't see myself getting to it anytime soon. No dickering, no shipping. Cash is king.
