a friend wanted me to ask what's the best route to go on replacing his radiator in his 35 ford all original 3 window flathead motor and the original radiator still in it. he wants to start driving it long distances. should he have the original redone? buy a new aftermarket? any advice would be appreciated. thanks

  2. If he has the money to put in a new radiator and it's a original car I would suggest a Walker Radiator and he can be confident with the quality for years to come.

If cash is a problem he might re core, but that is expensive.

I wouldn't think about a mustang or aluminum for a original car. HRP

  3. If you have a GOOD radiator shop that will check/test the original, my opinion is to use it. I did with a '34 Ford I had years ago with a SBC and a pressure cap!!! Otherwise, call walker.

My brothers 35 has an original 21 stud flathead with a T5 with a walker radiator. It never gets warm except for when he forgets to turn on the electric fan idling.
