I day dream about finding cars like these. As I walked through grass almost 6' tall in the back of a property owners yard I came across these 3 really cool 1935 Fords. One is a complete but rough 1) 35' 3 window coupe 2) the back half of another 3 window coupe ( for replacement panels) and 3) the front half of a 1935 sedan. All of the cars are needed to make one good car.

I have mostly been building my 1940 mercury coupe quietly and collecting and selling parts and cars to pay for tools and parts for my car...but I'm going to do whatever I can to keep this car and build it. I would like to find a pair of 35-36, 3 window coupe doors and a good set of rear fenders? I have both but need work.

This is gonna be a big project

It's a big project, but well worth it! Hope you have those coupes home by now. Keep posting your progress on this great find.

  6. Damn, I hope they were free. Makes me feel a whole lot better about my 32 sedan.

    Poor old thing.

  9. I believe 3W fenders and doors are unique, so you will probably end up fixing what you have. Or spend a lot of money for replacements that may not be much better. A good metal guy can save those fenders.

Nice score though, 35-36 3W are one of my favorites.

all coupe, roadster, cabriolet's & club cabriolet's use the same rear fenders, just year specific.

Just find some 2 door sedan doors and move the 3 window tops on to them. Same with the rear fenders, just find some sedan ones and use the trash coupe fenders to convert them for coupe use.

Any part from a 3w can be made into a complete 3w. If you got the 3 to me that make 3 3w, not 2 not 1.
I had parts of a roof, door tops, trunk lid and gutter all very rough (it actually came from a car I built and replaced those), I traded it for a cowl and doors from a 32 tudor to a buddy of mine whose got a 36 sedan to convert.
My advice would be build your car and anything that's left can be resold even if it's just for pattern.

Dude, that's a killer start. All you need is a few sheets of 18gauge and the patience of Job, and you're driving.

Well after lots of though about building it I'm regretfully going to sell it all. I am going to try and sell all together first and if no luck I will part it out

Bummer, Shawn. I was looking forward to seeing another '35 project come together on the other end of town! Oh well, a guy can't keep them all I suppose....
