I have a 1935 transmission and want to drop 1939 gears and synchros into it. Will this work? What kind of cost would I be looking at to do this? Here are the photos of the transmission. https://photos.app.goo.gl/MUHcPrFCYZWbuAOQ2 https://photos.app.goo.gl/TLzxMZ7Mjnsu7m8R2 https://photos.app.goo.gl/shve5Xdces5s45d93 https://photos.app.goo.gl/IW0iJPos2YGn6Zeo1 https://photos.app.goo.gl/pyqsDl9oPwL8glA52
They'll fit, it's free if you do it yourself. Mac VanPelt has a good book on it, so does Vern Tardel....
Basically you use the case and replace all the innards with later parts. You will need a 39 or F1 double detent shifter tower and the wide fork to work with the later slider and syncros. Buy the book by Van Pelt, it will answer all your questions. Well worth the price.
