Oh yea..... This is the fun part. I'm not really concerned about the door being a bit longer.... I'm not trying to reproduce a factory built roadster, I do want it to appear like one tho.... A little trickery here and there will make up for the inconsistencies....

Here's a few pics of the cowls. The new cowl top which is roadster.... The reveal is 5" long.

The passenger cowl measures 4" long.

So the difference in the length of the door is brough down from 3-1/2 inches to 2-1/2 inches.

I'm going to use the new roadster cowl top but modify it so it fits on the passenger cowl. image.jpeg image.jpeg

Find another closed car cowl, cut your desired amount off at A-post on doner cowl, seam weld to the cowl your using at A-post and box inside at A-post in turn making a boxed A-post witch will make for a thicker or wider cowl and no modification to your roadster cowl top.

I understand and was thinking of doing the same thing.... But I'd rather not destroy another 34 cowl

I'm going to remove 2-1/2 inches out of the doors.... This will make the body the length of a roadster.

Oh and are the roadster conversion door tops the correct size for a roadster or a coupe/fordor door???

    Cactus.....

    I'll do my best..
Those roadsterute door tops are roadster length, so they're roughly 3-1/2 inches shorter than the 5 window coupe doors.

Your right, the door tops are terrible. I'm just using the above the belt like and will slice and dice the rest.

    They are junk!

image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg Ok, so I know it's been a long time since an update but I've been collecting parts and constantly changing my mind.

Today I picked up an absolute cherry 34 roadster cowl and door skins. The skins are not so cherry but can be saved. The important parts being the door tops are there and workable.

Here's my question. The cowl is a right hand drive but I'm not sure where it's from.
What are the obvious and not so obvious differences between the USA cowls and over seas cowls? Does anyone know?
