Glad to see he's still making them. They are very nice. He spent a fortune and a lot of time building the dies to make them.

Here's mine.Went to LARS last June.I called them and the lead time was at least 6 weeks.I didn't have time to wait for one so bought a blem from one of their dealers.I fitted it and massaged it for many hrs then had it plated here in France.Since it was new metal and when I took it to be plated I had already polished it down to the emery wheel, they charged me $240.2 hrs in the copper tank, polish, then nickle and chrome.

    I don't think there's a more beautiful grille on this earth than a 33.

Straight up grill porn. That is quite a lovely piece there.

  11. I've come awfully close to pulling the trigger on one of these, but the ones I've seen up close had a ripple in the stamping at the top corner radius. I called Nottingham, and he said that they occasionally get some that shift in the stamping process. I also talked to Danny Kilborne who plates them, and he said that they can correct those, but not for the current pricing.
Have any of you guys who actually shelled out the coin noticed this, or are yours OK?
I'm wrestling with one of these versus the cost of plating an original.
